Hod Lipson is an American robotics engineer. He is the director of Cornell University’s Computational Synthesis Lab (CCSL) at the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Lipson’s work focuses on evolutionary robotics, design automation, rapid prototyping, artificial life, and creating machines that can demonstrate some aspects of human creativity.

Lipson received his Mechanical Engineering PhD in 1998 from Techion. Before joining the faculty of Cornell in 2001, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Brandeis University’s Computer Science Department and a Lecturer at MIT’s Mechanical Engineering Department.

Robots are machines that can be automatically guide to so some sort of work. They can be of great help in making the average human being lazier than he already is. The images on this website are created by Gordon Bennett. Bennett has used materials that have been found in the dumps of garage sales and construction sites. In addition to this, he has put in other materials like rubber and glue to put these robots together.

The robots are only an art piece and do not really perform any functions. Bennett is said to have done this range of robots after gaining inspiration from Norman Bel Geddes and Raymond Loewy who foresaw the modern industrial revolution. People who are fascinated by robots will love the work that comes out of Bennett Robot Works because of the authenticity of the materials used and the way they have been combined to make the overall structure of the robot.
